Laos here we are! After 24 hours and three different buses (one sleeper bus, a bus with beds!) we finallyarrived to Luoang Namtha, Laos! We checked in to a cozy guesthouse anbumped in to Eva, an Austrian girl who Miki and Mat already had met inChina. It was already evening so after having dinner and tasting somelocal specialties at the night market we went to sleep.
Next day wewoke up early and rented bicycles. What a place! Bungalows and smallbamboo houses all around town. And the people are so friendly andrelaxed! You hear Sabai dee (hello) everywhere and as we were cyclingto the waterfalls some kids even jumped on our bicycles all excited tosee foreign people!
We've been thinking a lot about how hecticChina is compared to Laos and how much we've been waiting for a placelike this. The first place so far where there's a lot of space for ahammock!
Anyway... We wanted to get started on our next big project(that you will hear about later on) so we made a spontaneous decisionto leave Luoang Namtha and jumped on the next bus headed south, toLuang Prabang.
