We ended the river adventure to Vientiane the capitol of Laos.

So after few days in Vientiane and it felt like the place has not muchto offer to my needs altough I really really love all the ladyboysaround here ;) I decided to head to Vang Vieng for sume tubing and goodparties all by myself with minimum gear. ( few t-shirts and underwearand ofcourse swimming pants). Dont get me wrong, its wonderful totravel with the Pigs but I just have those days when your own space isneeded. We Applied for thai visa with Jake (some finnish guy we met inVientiane), Ida & Miki and then got off my way to north. Planned tocatch them in Don det where they're supposed to be at the moment..Hopefully enjoying their hammocks to the fullest!

Like I said earlier, Vang Vieng is a place to get wasted :D I wasn'tactually in the mood for big parties but as allways when meeting newpeople, grabbing few beers and maybe few more u find your way back tothe hostel late at night. That happend to me, twice. Went tubing andthat was fantastic! Most of the drunken British there dont tube at all,just start drinking at 1 pm :D I tubed the one hour ride down streams,surrounded by some beautiful cliffs all around the city and ended uptalking to a south Corean guy or how do u write that country inenglish.. Anyway I catched the party later with these Swedish guys whowere working there for few weeks and got free whiskyshots all along andone canadian guy kept pouring vodka to everyones mouths :D
Still when I was getting drunker by the minute I was wise engough toend the night "early" and walked back to my hostel around three :P

Next day some cycling around and went to see this spooky cave with batsin it. It appears that I'm kinda afraid of dark :D Same old same old inthe evening and people kept ordering "food & beverages" from theHappy menu ;) Definetly a nice place if ure up for parties and peopleget stuck there for longer time than they usually plan to stay. ( oneguy had a goal to tube for a whole year!) 297/365 days already !

But the best part was a local herbal sauna. Small steam room, which hada nice flavour and no guys, it was not a happy sauna... Just some herbsthat made the steam nice and pleasant. Felt sooooooo good cos I haventhad a decent sauna after I left home but this was one of the bestexperiences yet!

Now I'm in Vientiane and my bus to Don det leaves within four hours and I was up for a suprise when I got back here today. My backpack was gone! I have no idea what had happened but it only contained clothes and I had all my valuables with me in Vang Vieng. So the damage was light :) Still I was kinda keen on my dads 40-year old backpack so now I have to buy a new one...:(

No worries no worries, Shanti will fix it all and Don det awaits with its hammocks :))
