I find a baseball cap and try to return it to its rightful owner, it ends up being myself, I needed a hat anyway. I am charged 25LE for a packet of biscuit and tea (should be more like 6) after haggling. I watch how the local sparrows have discovered how to steal and open sachets of sugar off the tables.
While looking through my arabic phrase book a young woman shows interst in it and after a chat I donate it to her. I am not going to have time to learn arabic this late in the game.
I catch a few nice photos of the ruines as the sun begins to set.
I am having a lot of problems uploading photos.
On entering the Karnak I am offered a Guide no thanks. We are amongst 2000 years of history and if allowed I can hear and sense the monuments and space speak to me without the jabber of multitude of guides all around spewing out bare minimum of what anyone knows about the place. There can possibly be no words to describe the place, covered with millions of symbols already and we are trying to explain them with words, words only represent what there already is, they can not replace them.
