In the footsteps of the Gods

Last night walking through the columns at the temple, had such a strong experience, I was walking where Ramesis the II would have passed. I felt strangely powerful, the whole place and the literally huge structures had amazing influence.

Forgot to mention, the very old man whom showed me the room, also pointed out the small balcony, I am overlooking the Temple, nice one!

My current plan is at least 3 days here, then if I want to I will also give myself couple of days in downtown Cairo and spent at least a day in the Museum which is apparently very good.
Tomb of Tutamhamun that I had to pay 100LE extra for , wasnt worth it, very small in comparison to others, one small carsephagus and plain covered mummy. One very shrivelled mummy in another glass case, he has been dead sometime. As Matt put it "I have seen dead dudes Before".

I have couple of contact for Australia and NZ now, as well as ideas for travelling in China and Thailnd/vietnam.

Looking forward to feeling more rested, my whole system is rebelling against the massive information overload and the change of environment.

Matt was very helpful, reminding me that this was what it was all about, doing what you want and not being swayed by others. the tour guides were intially not too happy with my idea, had to write and sign a letter to say I was leaving the tour.

Then I was asked for 6000 LE cancellation fee (after I had signed the letter!) ouch, panic, then I realise the bastard is joking, give him a hug and laughter of relief.

20 minutes by the pool overlooking the setting sun beyond the Nile and couple of photos, say goodbye to Matt and catch the shuttle bus into Loxur centre.

Loxur is what I thought Egypt will be like. the Pyramis are very plane in comparison. Loxur blew me away and is a must visit for anyone in a lifetime.  I can do a beach holiday anytime, since I am here already I might as well extend my stay now and just enjoy it.
